TRAMONTI

Tramonti is a very large stone farmhouse set at the end of an unpaved road on a hilltop commanding stunning views of the beautiful countryside and of the medieval cities of Siena and San Gimignano. The property, surrounded by more than 200 acres of private land was patiently restored by its present owners who converted the farmhouse into their own private home keeping the original terracotta floors and beamed ceilings. The furnishings are high quality English, Italian and Flemish antiques with excellent bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The well kept lawn leads down to the guest/pool house and to the very large free style swimming pool with loungers and umbrellas perfect for enjoying wonderful views of Vineyards and olive groves.

Tramonti currently has three acres of Chianti Classico vineyards in production. Another fourteen acres were planted in recent years, which will start producing grapes for vinification from 2002 onwards. The estate has bottled and marketed its wine since 1996 and has received acclaim from both the market and the press. Tramonti Chianti Classico is on the wine list of several of the foremost restaurants in Italy.
There are twelve acres of olive groves that produce a modest amount of high quality extra virgin olive oil.
The remainder of the 200 acre estate is oak forest typical of the Tuscan landscape.
